Voice & Tone
How Mediquo sounds — clear, human, and reassuring across every touchpoint.
Our voice is constant; our tone adapts to the moment. We talk to people about their health, so clarity and empathy always come before cleverness.
Voice principles
- Clear over clever. Prefer plain words. If a sentence needs a second read, rewrite it.
- Human, not clinical. Write the way a trusted professional speaks — warm, direct, never cold or bureaucratic.
- Reassuring, never alarmist. Health is sensitive. Give people confidence and next steps, not anxiety.
- Respectful of time. Say what matters first. Cut filler.
Adapting tone
| Context | Tone |
|---|---|
| Onboarding & empty states | Encouraging, welcoming |
| Errors & failures | Calm, accountable, solution-first |
| Success & confirmation | Brief, affirming |
| Sensitive medical content | Careful, precise, compassionate |
In practice
✅ "We couldn't send your message. Check your connection and try again."
❌ "Error 503: message delivery failed."
When in doubt, read it out loud. If it sounds like something you'd say to a patient face to face, it's on tone.
